If it pleases Council, approve of the presented 2023-2024 Budget Calendar. | |

| | | | | | | | | | BACKGROUND:
The City of Coos Bay undergoes an annual budget process, starting in December of each year, with culmination in June, with adoption of the budget. Staff begins preparing the budget document in December each year, for distribution to the Budget Committee in April. This provides the Budget Committee several weeks to review the budget in preparation for the May Budget Committee meeting(s).
The proposed budget calendar provides a detailed timeline of the steps necessary to prepare, present, and formally adopt the City's annual budget by June 30th, as required by Oregon Revised Statutes. | |
