 ISSUE:Library Steering Committee Appointments 
 SUMMARY:

City Council created and appointed members to a Library Steering Committee in September 2014.  The committee consisted of 2 members each from the Friends of the Library and Library Foundation in addition to council and staff.  Over time, some people have had terms expire from the various organizational boards and ratification of new representatives are necessary. 		 
 ACTION REQUESTED:

If it pleases the Council, appoint Gina Sutherland as representative from the Library Foundation, appoint Ida Jo Gates as a representative from the Library Board and appoint Shawn Kuykendall as a representative from the Friends of the Library to serve on the Library Steering Committee.

 
 BACKGROUND:

Other members of the Steering Committee currently are:

Curt Benward - Library Foundation

Bob More - Library Board

Marie Benton - Friends of the Library

Council President Rob Miles

Councilor Carmen Matthews

 

The following staff are assigned to assist the Steering Committee:

Deputy Library Director Christine Coffman
